Saro Strange – Make A Difference Award

This award is in memory of a man, who was a leader and mentor to staff.  As a strong advocate for people we support, Saro has left an everlasting impression at Community Living Welland Pelham. 

Nominations

Nominations are open to all employees of Community Living Welland Pelham.  This award will be presented to the employee, that exemplifies positive leadership, is an innovative thinker and a strong advocate for people we support.

Past Award Recipients

Theresa Wedekind – Theresa has demonstrated strong leadership in her role as Senior Support Worker. Theresa leads by example and lives the values of the association in her support of people, families and staff.

Sacha MacGregor – As an out of the box thinker he uses all means possible to support people to achieve their outcomes. He is encouraging, respectful, positive and builds strong teams with the people he supports families & fellow staff.

Todd Clayton – For his many years of strong leadership in staff engagement and dedicated support to people and families.

Dr. Barbara Vyrostko

The first recipient of this award is Community Living Welland Pelham’s Executive Director, Dr. Barbara Vyrostko who is a champion and a leader in ensuring that the rights and values of people are respected. She is an example of someone who believes in and lives the vision statement – “An Inclusive Caring Community Where All People Belong and Have Equal Opportunity to Participate Effectively”.
