Purpose of the Fund
The Emerson Fund provides financial support through grants to individuals or their families supported through Community Living Welland Pelham(CLWP). These grants are aimed at fostering community participation, building of valued social roles, and supporting new initiatives or pilot projects that strengthen community connections and social roles. The fund is intended to enhance valued social roles for individuals.
Scope of the Grants
Eligible activities include any that promote valued social roles as an outcome. These activities may vary widely, providing their goal is to foster growth or build community connections and roles. Examples include:
- Supporting Citizen Advocacy groups
- Registration fees
- Cost of speakers
- Membership fees
- Transportation expenses
- Educational cost
- Other expenses that enable valued participation in the community and valued social roles
